  1. that does look in great shape - good luck with the sale
  2. yup - if I was in the market for that type of motor I would buy one
  3. A map should get you better driveability throught the rev range due to a few more bhp and as teh engine will be properly set up for the mods done it should run more efficiently therefore getting some more MPG - costs vary per tuner etc £500 is a realistic figure. If not already (over five years) replace your fuel pump so you have a good solid flow for the map, may be up the capacity / flow rate capability a little from standard, consider some new plugs and maybe run some injector cleaner through your system a couple of times before the map session.
  4. really surprised this has not been snapped up - if it was an auto I would be pushing it towards the father in law
  5. What are you after?? Good luck with the sale
  6. ooooo the anticipation
  7. Hastings were good for us until I wanted to put wheel spacers on - so if you have a near standard car worth a shot
  8. Wotcha and welcome - Justys are great little motors - would like to own a Brat / Brumby one day, it wont remain standard though
  9. Hey you can still drift 'em - just not as fast or dramatic as you boosted lot - a little more demure
  10. Plenty will cover you but maybe not at a cost you would be willing to pay - try SKY had dealings with them recently and they came back pretty reasonable but it will be a case of putting the telephone time in and ringing around
  11. Jay762 replied to Russian's topic in Subaru XV Club
Wotcha and welcome - all friendly on here so feel free to get stuck in and we do like a photo so keep a camera handy
  12. Yup this is true and he does know a thing or two about Fozzys (and other stuff)
  13. Nothing wrong with an NA - needs must and all that
  14. looking good
  15. Based on some of the discussions that have been had on the forum before you can get the same power from both engines however it is the delivery that is different the 2.5 lump will get you more drive lower down in the rev range The STI has an improve basic spec all around to start with, brakes chassis, suspension as well as engine so you will not necessarily need to make any modifications..... however, they are addictive
  16. Yup prefer the indicators in the mirrors instead of the wings. Looking at the STI vs A Line comparisons there must be some significant potential unrealised with dual twinscroll turbos hooked up to 2.5l and putting out circa 300bhp. Might stick the flappy paddle kit on my RX auto and start telling everyone its an A line
  17. They should be easier to source
  18. Fair enough Just found this on Parkers for the XT, dont know how it compares to your wagon, I believe it has a turbo so you will be able to do some minor tweaks and get a little more power - high flow panel filter, freer flowing exhaust possible fuel pump (if it is over 5 years good idea to replace it anyway) then a map Engine Size 1998cc Cylinders 4 Valves 16 Weight 1624kg Power 237 bhp Top Speed 137 mph 0-60 mph 7.3 secs Torque 350 Nm, 258 ft-lb
  19. For all the practical aspects and the power consider these? http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/subaru/forester/2006-subaru-forester-2-5-sti--low-mileage--ecutek--milltek/6864068 http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/subaru/forester/subaru-2005/6852293 http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/subaru/forester/as-new-forester-sti-direct-import-from-japan-please-see-our-website-for-70-plus-pics/5665030
  20. Wotcha and welcome - plenty of Fozzy owners on here so someone should be along in a bit to help
  21. decisions decisions.... One of the pieces I found yesterday referred to the pin connections being different across the stereo units so whilst it would plug in correctly the pins may need to be put in different position.
  22. Do you have a blockage in one of the other breathers that has been disconnected when removing the RCM item? Are all the tubes arranged so oil will flow back down them - ie none drop below the point at which they connect to the engine allowing oil to build up then be blown into the catch tank instead of going back into the engine?
  23. wotcha and welcome - that motor looks cleeeeeen feel free to get stuck in - all friendly on here also I cannot see the additional three images you posted??
  24. does look positive and RCA to Jack converters are very cheap
  25. Wow that is steep - pity you didn't get the number as you might have been able to source it cheaper elsewhere?
