  1. Welcome, my dad had the optional spare with both his
  2. Welcome
  3. oe pretty big update. Finally a couple of box's arrived back from the machine shop 😄 Wasn't expecting much to happen for another couple of weeks due to not being first in build que, but poped up to clinic today to say hello to be greeted by this, So looks like unless something crops up it should be back in the car and all the new bits bolted on and ready to pick up to run in in a couple of weeks 😄
  4. I swapped mine out for a 6 speed hahaha, 2.5 6 speed in a type r at 400bhp and 465ftlb was rapid haha
  5. I can't really give a figure because it was a bit of a mish mash deal, 2 cars for 1 and cash. But roughly 15k, I consider that a pretty good deal as i agree totally, you never get your money back on mods.
  6. Andy forrest is running a 6 pot engine, so sounds like he spinning a story. Clinic also wouldn;t be building it to someone else specs, they have considerably more experience then even andy forrest, they have 20 years experience of their own 😉 Is it the current engine that was built by scoobyclinic? when was it built? Whats on the spec sheet?
  7. not far then :) peak district is great for that
  8. welcome, im not a million miles away up at ripley
  9. If it needs running in then its a new engine build, need to find out exactly what spec has gone in it. Also if its been rebuild the old figure is irrelevant, it may well have changed. TBH you need to find out exactly what it is, what engine is in it, what spec the build was, etc etc
  10. as long as its 95ron shouldn't make any difference. need to get the code read to see what it says
  11. is it a turbo'd model?
  12. pushing a standard 2.5 to 400 it wont last long at all unless its been forged so sounds optimistic, has it had any engine work done? how sure are you the dyno is accurate and it's the correct one for the car? It wouldn't be the first time i've seen a photoshop dyno chart
  13. Link is good on a slightly lower budget. lower than that your pretty much into stock ECU
  14. Best ecu out there is syvecs, but you wont get much change from £2000, if any.
  15. Welcome
  16. Original 22B parts are rare as hens teeth, your only option might be to go to a subaru dealer, with proof of ownership (not 100% sure exactly what paperwork they require) and see what they can get hold of, be prepared for a massive dent in your wallet though. Wings for example are about £2k a pop :o although i realise its not wings your after. Other place is possible https://www.importcarparts.co.uk/
  17. seems to be depends who you ask. even me and the mrs dont agree hahaha
  18. td04 on a hawk wrx i believe
  19. sell him instead 😉
  20. prices for em seem to be a bit all over, some without forging are 14-15k so i dont think its too bad given the spec. trader has it at 15, website has it at 16 :s
  21. looks like it may have been rebuilt by clinic, if so worth a call to em to see what the crack is with it
  22. do you mean the engine is fully forged? got a link to it?
  23. As long as the map is done properly it wont add any strain. A remap is typically just reducing tolerance due to knowing the perimeters of the specific engine itself. Upping the boost will add some strain but a decent mapper shouldn't be overloading it anyway. So short version is no a full custom map wont give you issues assuming it is done correctly
  24. May be a bit high maybe an hour but not by alot, keep in mind its a 10+ year old car and the bolts will be a right mess meaning extra time to sort them out. Your talking alot of components in that list, plus you have geometry setup time in that as well which for a proper job will be a good hour or two given its going to be a full setup.
