racing stripes
I de badge most of my cars as I like the "clean lines" look but hey modding is about putting "your" mark on a otherwise standard common looking car imo . So do whatever floats yer goat bud [emoji6] If it's not broke .....upgrade it ๐

Racedynamix
Might just not be getting back to you as it was the bank holiday weekend? ..... I'm self employed and didn't answer any business calls until today [emoji6] I use a different mapper based in Norwich he's not mobile and only works from his dyno . He's not cheap but he's been mapping for 30yrs + and has won loads of awards during his career . Always impressed with his customer service as he normally replies within 2 hrs via email. Hopefully you'll get it sorted soon, fella If it's not broke .....upgrade it ๐

It's a proppa pain when something goes wrong when a cars being mapped. Both the mapper and the customer end up without the results they were after . I had a similar issue when i had my first classic mapped , he did come back and tweek it for free but it was running rich for a long time afterwards . Even jgm had issues with mapping the same ecu with a different engine but he wouldn't take a penny off me untill I was happy ,I had to wedge some cash in his glove box while he wasn't looking (hence why Simon's sorely missed ) I know since Simon past away Duncan has landed a lot of jgm's old customers, So he's mega busy. Drop him another email asking when he's in your area next and maybe he'll be able to squeeze it in ? Don't give up just yet a tweek might be all it needs . If it's not broke .....upgrade it ๐

Clutch flywheel?
Standard clutches shouldn't make any noticeable noise but you'd probably get a bit of "rattle n shhhh" from a racing clutch . If the clutch fluid is murky You could try dropping the old clutch fluid out and replacing it, as clutch fluid tends to get forgotten at service intervals and a freshen up can make a world of difference. Fitting Clutches ain't too cheap on scoobies as the box has to be completely removed, flywheel skimmed and refitted with the new clutch . So if your not doing it yourself expect a ยฃ500 + bill if it completely goes . If it's not broke .....upgrade it ๐

Post and Pre Cat sensors
As you face the cam covers, left side towards the front of the car there should be a bit of loom clipped to the chassis leg . That should run to the header o2 sensor on the early scoobs . V3 late 96 onwards classics have a bung in the headers (where the early sensor is) and have the o2 sensor in the downpipe. It's posible that someone has fitted later headers or just moved the o2 sensor after the turbo . As although I've never seen it ,some say that subaru moved the o2 sensor to stop debris entering the turbo if the o2 sensor breaks in the pre turbo position . If it has been moved it should've been mapped in as the temps pre turbo would be much hotter and the ecu would probably adjust mixture /pull timing to correct it . If it's not broke .....upgrade it ๐

Post and Pre Cat sensors
92 to early 96 have the o2 sensor in the headers late 96 onwards classics have the o2 sensor in the downpipe (after the turbo) My current cusco downpipe has a old o2 sensor "bunging" the hole (not plugged in) and I use the standard "in header" o2 sensor. I'm not sure if the early loom plug will reach the downpipe sensor position but if it did it would read a cooler temp and mess with the fuelling .So a o2 position change would need to be mapped in [emoji6] If it's not broke .....upgrade it ๐

Exhaust Blowing....Up pipe issue
A.S performance sell trick up pipes for about ยฃ160 or haywood and Scott sell a slip jointed up pipe which works well and eases fitment (due to the slip joint ). Avoid up pipes with "flexi's " in and toyo sports versions as they loose power If it's not broke .....upgrade it ๐

4 pot Calipers
Classic or newage 4 pots and 5 ร 100 pcd discs will bolt straight on a early classic . Although I'd suggest fitting braided lines as well and you'd have to check if the et of your allys will go over them . If it's not broke .....upgrade it ๐

1993 JDM WRX 'Fix' thread
I've got hands like shovels so bought a decent 1/4 drive socket set and some rachet spanners as soon as I opened the bonnet of my first scoob lol . If it's not broke .....upgrade it ๐

Do you have a GOOD tracking Print out? and other questions.
The classics only have camber bolts on the front strutts , the rears are fixed (so I assume that newage are the same) The fronts should have 1 camber bolt each side at the top . You have to release both bolts and turn the top bolt to adjust the camber . For the rears I bought elbaich camber bolts (about ยฃ30) but you can also use oe subaru front camber bolts in the rear if you prefer. If it's not broke .....upgrade it ๐

What year / version is it ? As I've got a few pics of the engine loom attached to a v3/v4 inlet manifold. Search for the thread for " classic ecu self code check function " in the tech section on here . As and codes should be stored and you can read them yourself in a sort if morse code flashing of the eml light [emoji6] If it's not broke .....upgrade it ๐

Tuning/remap in the south west?
Dunno if it's a just pay and turn up or whether you have to book a definite time . I do like too get mine on a dyno every year to make sure she's running right . Admittedly I do tend to end up getting the map tweeked on the dyno fairly often as I keep fooking about with it lol If it's not broke .....upgrade it ๐

Tuning/remap in the south west?
Think it's a dyno day but you have to pre book , Damien Bradley with the mk1 time attack legacy posted it up on f.b . Give surrey rolling road a bell or like their Facebook page and have a word with em [emoji6] If it's not broke .....upgrade it ๐

whats my car worth
Unfortunately Ghost is pretty much spot on, as there not worth a great deal with a fubar'd engine. You might get a bit more if the rear arches are rust free but as a rough guide (without knowing if it's got any expensive mods) I'd imagine it would only sell for about ยฃ600 . If it's not broke .....upgrade it ๐

New engine advice
Generally most engine builders would only recommend a 0.5 mm over bore. Otherwise you risk undermining the sleeves, especially on a open deck block , so if it's got a 1mm score in the bore I'd say you'd need a new block . So stants has probably recommended the best options above imo . If it's not broke .....upgrade it ๐

Brakes Squealing/Squeaking
Check the wear is the same on the inside and outer faces of the discs (same thickness ) . Seeing as it does it while rolling, as well as when applying the brakes, it could be that one of the pistons isn't returning properly and constantly causing a pad to make contact with the face of a disc. If it's not broke .....upgrade it ๐

A-Line Spoiler
I do know people who have got the fiberglass stuff but front lips do tend to take a bit of abuse (stone chips and low kurbs) compared to boot spoilers and side skirts . My hta p1 rep is just over 4 yrs old and my scoobs about 40 mm lower than a uk turbo's standard set up . So it's seen a few kurbs, stone chips and occasionally scuffs on the inlaws sloping driveway [emoji19] I had this pic done last year and it doesn't really look any different to when I first fitted it [emoji41] If it's not broke .....upgrade it ๐

A-Line Spoiler
Yeah I bought a p1 replica front lip from hta superb fitment and I've hit a few low kurbs but due to being plastic (rather than fibre glass ) it's still in 1 piece [emoji41] If it's not broke .....upgrade it ๐
