  1. Wotcha and welcome to both
  2. If you can run to it have some with floating discs and alloy mountings to reduce heat transfer to the bearings, if you have managed to warp the standard ones there is clearly been some heat generated
  3. Wotcha and welcome - hopefully someone will see this and make the trade
  4. Wotcha and welcome - can't help too much with leggy advice but sure someone will be along in a bit with the info, I do know from forum discussions the gearbox on diesel cars can be subject to premature bearing failure due to inaccurate alignment on assembly so opting for the petrol motor should see you right. I belive the 2.0 engines tend to be on the non turbo motors. No heard about the valve clearance check? 50k should have seen the cambelt changed so ensure that has been completed. Keep us posted on your progress
  5. Wotcha and welcome - as above chances are you will have issues with bushes before any engine or drive problems
  6. Wotcha and welcome - sounds like you got a real bargain
  7. wotcha and welcome - keep us posted with progress, doesnt sound like it is anything terminal
  8. changed the front brake pads nothing fancy standard EBC fair to see how they perform, if not great will try some green stuff
  9. absolute steal - I have already checked but they will not fit my motor - gutted
  10. Wotcha and welcome - nothing wrong with a bit of NA - I know the wrx cat back option will fit the Hatch but not sure about the Hawk, these guys have a specific section for NA models http://scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=24_54
  11. that was my thought but after a good look and pulling the caliper off there is a folded piece of metal on the base of the inner pad - this looks to be touching the disc - I believe this is the subaru low pad alert - am now investigating some replacements
  12. I have found this useful http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Wheel-Offset-Calculator#
  13. Yup that was me with Hastings, their selection menu of modifications does not include spacers so they would not offer a policy if they were fitted. Adrian Flux would though.
  14. bemused a neighbour by removing wheels to wash them - have also got to find out what is making the metallic scraping when I turn left from the offside front wheel area, sound goes away when I brake so assuming something to do with the caliper??
  15. Wotcha and welcome
  16. Wotcha and welcome - great looking motor, those rims look awesome
  17. Wotcha and welocme - a scooby in its natural habitat
  18. Wotcha and welcome - quite the exclusive car you are taking ownership of - the April 16 edition of Jap Performance magazine covers a tweaked Gravel Express, it describes the standard car as basically a fozzy chassis and running gear with a wagon shell, plus the other bits, bars etc. Might give some suggestions / areas for change Either way keep us posted of progress
  19. Wotcha and welcome - here is a buyers guide, keep us posted on your progress
  20. Wotcha and welcome - gotta love a Brat - feel free to get stuck in all friendly on here and plenty of fozzy owners / experience
  21. Wotcha and welcome we now have a few xv owners on the forum racking up a fiar few miles so some good feeback and info, feel free to get stuck in
