Locked ECU and Remap
There was a chap - I was on the ESL course with who had a tuning shop - because of this situation he had his own security code generator to allow access to locked alcatel units - cant remember his location but if you would consider him as an option I can try and dig his details?

Auto transmission
gen is short for generation 2 is the second of said generation Liberty is the model name of the Subaru (A Legacy sold in Australia) Legacy is the model name of the Subaru (A Liberty sold everywhere else) 98 is short for the year 1998 99 is short for the year 1999 ? is because I am not sure what years the second generation of liberty or legacy models were produced from BG9 is the model code meaning a wagon (hatchback) not a saloon (boot or trunk) non - turbo means it is normally aspirated (NA) - it does not have a turbo or associated items (intercooler etc) 4EAT or sometimes E-4AT is the Subaru designation for a type of 4 speed automatic gearbox some additional reading for your delectation https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subaru_Legacy_(second_generation)

black Vito 2002 - bought to get crossers to the tracks but has been very useful transpoting my old Fizzer to brands hatch and garages etc plus tip runs & terrier transport but the tin worm is starting to come through now though so will be replaced eventually, dont think I would be without one now - so useful - do like the look of the new ford tranny

Wotcha and welcome - the tech you are looking at is pretty straight forward so given your previous engine swap project approaches I dont think you will have an issue - however if you get the other one you could spend more time driving it- Seminole81's 2006 Widetrack STi Build

Result!!- What have you done to your Subaru today ?
nothing that looks like a SARD piece of kit there I can see. Wrt the exhaust, you could do a 2.5 from the turbo and have it connect up no problem or go for a 3" and get a link pipe to join the two parts http://scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=24_156&products_id=2056- What have you done to your Subaru today ?
Purchased a Tactrix 2.0 ODB interface- What have you done to your Subaru today ?
For the time you would spend cleaning it and the cost of a Cosworth filter I would replace it - actually thinking about not sure you can clean the Cossie ones. The FPR does not look like a SARD - however have you got a higher shot of your bay as it may somewhere else (unlikely though as it would stand out)- Hi. Just joined, some questions......
