  1. that I wouldnt know - I remember the chap saying he was constantly on the phone to get these codes from the supplier that in the end they gave him his own key, ill try and dig his name out anyway its about time I followed up with some of the chaps
  2. I think they would - however I do not know for sure - what si your budget, would you consider getting a longlife or cobra stainless steel system as they will fit it for your motor to your requirements?
  3. There was a chap - I was on the ESL course with who had a tuning shop - because of this situation he had his own security code generator to allow access to locked alcatel units - cant remember his location but if you would consider him as an option I can try and dig his details?
  4. gen is short for generation 2 is the second of said generation Liberty is the model name of the Subaru (A Legacy sold in Australia) Legacy is the model name of the Subaru (A Liberty sold everywhere else) 98 is short for the year 1998 99 is short for the year 1999 ? is because I am not sure what years the second generation of liberty or legacy models were produced from BG9 is the model code meaning a wagon (hatchback) not a saloon (boot or trunk) non - turbo means it is normally aspirated (NA) - it does not have a turbo or associated items (intercooler etc) 4EAT or sometimes E-4AT is the Subaru designation for a type of 4 speed automatic gearbox some additional reading for your delectation https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subaru_Legacy_(second_generation)
  5. Wotcha and welcome - clean example you have there and a great base for tuning

    hefty chortles
  7. try checking this motor out in more detail gen 2 Liberty/Legacy (98-99?) BG9 non-turbo 4EAT
  8. where can you source those or is it a particular version you have to get engineered?
  9. Yes they should work fine with your car. here is some information on reputably the best subaru heads http://rogerclarkmotorsport.co.uk/store/product/600-genuine-subaru-ej207-avcs-spec-c-big-port-cylinder-head-right-hand
  10. Wotcha and welcome - great looking motor

black Vito 2002 - bought to get crossers to the tracks but has been very useful transpoting my old Fizzer to brands hatch and garages etc plus tip runs & terrier transport but the tin worm is starting to come through now though so will be replaced eventually, dont think I would be without one now - so useful - do like the look of the new ford tranny
  13. wotcha and welcome - a great way to get into the brand
  14. Wotcha and welcome - unique interior.... You could talk to cobra about some leather retrimming?
  15. Wotcha and welcome - the tech you are looking at is pretty straight forward so given your previous engine swap project approaches I dont think you will have an issue - however if you get the other one you could spend more time driving it
  16. Love your part of the world - if it wasn't for eldster inlaws I would be right by you, not outskirts of Wolverhampton
  17. what do you want for it - mint from a dealer.... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-SVX-3-3-auto-/271975555719?hash=item3f5301a287:g:W1sAAOSw7NNT8g8t
  18. oooh what bike do you ride - got an old FZR1000 myself
  19. nothing that looks like a SARD piece of kit there I can see. Wrt the exhaust, you could do a 2.5 from the turbo and have it connect up no problem or go for a 3" and get a link pipe to join the two parts http://scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=24_156&products_id=2056
  20. Purchased a Tactrix 2.0 ODB interface
  21. For the time you would spend cleaning it and the cost of a Cosworth filter I would replace it - actually thinking about not sure you can clean the Cossie ones. The FPR does not look like a SARD - however have you got a higher shot of your bay as it may somewhere else (unlikely though as it would stand out)
  22. here it is http://jm-imports.co.uk/index.php/2006-subaru-impreza-wrx-sti-6-speed-manual/
