Dogconker Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Taking mine in for some new boots. Got a good price on a full set of Yokohama Geolanders fitted for £436. There are other tyres I could fit but the original ones have done 50k
david1972 Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Dare I go to look at some turbo power this weekend..... Well that didn't go down very well [emoji54]
stants Posted April 9, 2016 Author Posted April 9, 2016 With the misses or did you do something rash ?
david1972 Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 With the Mrs lol basically it ain't happening soon. She's right to be fair though, we need sort some other stuff with the house first. Longer term though I'll end up with something newer I think and exactly what I want, rather than another gradual upgrade Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk 1
Sandals Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Reseated my brake pads and got rid of the clunk... however, noticed that one of my caliper pistons is missing a metal ring, no clue how important it is! Pic is in my other thread...

savage bulldogs Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Upset grey haired bloke in a new ish porshe boxter convertible with "jeff" as a number plate . He tried to undertake me twice [emoji53] once on a slip road and again at a national speed limit round about . He seemed a bit miffed and promptly punched the porkas steering wheel a few times ...... He probably saved a long time to buy his porka ,sorry jeff [emoji55] If it's not broke .....upgrade it 😊 4

dgarside Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Dropped in at stealers for a new steering rack (2014 STi under warranty).... Hopefully that fixes the clunky steering, if not then it's the steering column they are going to change. Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk

mfnick Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Making some great progress on my new one :) Got new brakes fitted plus recently received my new tyres (reinforced Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2's), Hayward and Scott down pipe with gasket, boost solenoid and fuel pump. Currently got it at SSS having the cambelt done. Only 30k ago but has been over 5 years - forgot to check the date again when buying and only just realised - d'oh! Fitting the new fuel pump for me while he's got it too and heat wrapping the downpipe before I get it fitted. Going to pressure test the turbo for me as well, been told the standard Actuator isn't good at holding higher boost on the Twinscroll so seeing if I need to upgrade that before mapping. Spent a small fortune since getting it so its to my standard. This is before my new cat back exhaust and remap too!!! Really, really missing the power of my old one so needs doing haha! Should at least be able to recoup a bit by selling the Genome though hopefully. 2
Sandals Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Such a smart looking fuel pump... shame you will never get to see it!! 1
mfnick Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 I know, it's a lovely bit of kit. First time I've bought stuff from Scooby Worx, I'm loving their posh little boxes they put stuff in too lol.
Scoobyghost Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Replaced the top rad hose as it had split inside and developed a pinhole leak.
