  1. So it's arrived, and then there were 3 hahaha
  2. Syvecs ecu, not the cheapest but by far the best. Haha I tried getting rid and got an m3 instead. Nice car seriously dull by comparison
  3. Track use is a very different animal to road use, but if only occasional track then I'd go 2.5 myself. Standard block is find up to about 450and with the right supporting mods will be fine for odd tracks days. R3ason for the2.5 is it makes a great road engine, loads of low down grunt. I have acl race bearings, make piston, Manley rods. Superteck valve kit in version 5 heads and a gt2871r billet turbo. Plus whole heap supporting mods like front mount and 6 speed box. Currently run ing 398bhp and 465ftlb bit eventual target is 500bhp +
  4. Very depends in aims and budget. Is it for road, track, race, drag use?
  5. will throw up a CEL if you do that rear cat
  6. Just man up, full decat and just find a friendly MOT garage. Will need mapping if you do sack all the cats off.
  7. I'm yet to read any that havn't got alot more behind them than described. There only human so mistakes do happen, but pick up a phone and they will put it right.
  8. Colour is a personal preference :)
  9. Not a big fan of the wheel colour myself lol
  10. I would take it to a reputable specialist given the issues your having. Some mappers would just fob you off if something is mechanically not right and given your coming over the water then you need any issues sorted. Scoobyclinic are based at chesterfield which will be a bit of a drive, but well worth it IMO.
  11. Just ashame about the engine in the silver one :( lol i pick mine up on sat :D
  12. Really depends on how quick you want to sell it. A quick sale will be nearer the 3k mark, but given how tidy it is someone will come along at some point.
  13. Scoobyclinic by far. up picking up my new car on sat haha
  14. Anit lift kit is a good idea as well as anti roll bars.
  15. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-Impreza-Turbo-Coilovers-GDB-06-07-Model-STi-/222469614706?hash=item33cc38ec72:g:tNwAAOSwAKxWZ3Il i think thats the link? they wont fit yours beigng a wrx
  16. link does work. beware of cheap coilovers though. they are cheap for a reason
  17. No, none subaru place to post :p Only a wild shot but thought i;d throw it up in case anyone is looking for a project. Following on from the engine run away my V50 is now up for sale as spares or repair. it's a 2005 V50 2.0D, covered just over 170k. In dark grey. Suffered engine run away but was stopped before engine totally let go so condition is unknown, however hasn't seized. Reason for runaway is unknown. Recent battery and alternator Scuff on front passenger wing and dent in rear arch and bumper. Alloys all in good condition bar minor scuffing and one with a small patch of bubbling. Tyres all with plenty of tread left. Interior in good condition with one minor tear. I've tried to include all the mentioned damage in the pics, bear in mind its a 12 year old car so will be odd stone ships and such. Given its condition and plenty of value in the parts look at £500. Car will need to be collected from Chesterfield. Any questions let me know.
  18. hmm, find out exactly whos doing the mapping.
  19. So effectively pp2 on clinics site? Ask them the question. i'll see if i can find out what they did
  20. Not sure tbh i would guess mapping at least. What you having done?
  21. Dont know much about them other than clinics had a couple of their cars in to finish them off :S
  22. If camms can't map a car in a few hours then leave well alone. It's a 2-3 hour job assuming no faults are found.
