  1. wont be andy forrest, he doesn't travel for mapping any more. Scoobyclinic do all my work, ;)
  2. really? I'd have argued acceptable wear and tear unless there was anything major wrong.
  3. haha nice :D
  4. ah fair enough, i know they cut back on what they did when they sold their dyno.
  5. I use clinic all the time, wouldn't go anywhere else. Do scoobyworld still do anything bar mail order any more?
  6. Whats the condition of your radiator? when did it last have a coolant change? are the fans kicking in when it gets hot? If the water temps are getting that hot i dread to think whats going on with your oil temps, might be worth looking at an oil cooler kit, should help keep the general temps down as well.
  7. lol, good good, last thing i wanna see is a post saying engine gone bang and asking why.
  8. Don't boost it till its remapped, you wont know what the AFR's are doing and could melt the engine before you know it.
  9. Don't bother with the boost controller, just control it with the ecu.

go look for borough pat hahaha
  11. You can buy most off the shelf, but unless you know what your doing with them i'd just get a pro to fit one, they are wired in all over the place.
  12. If they were bedded in originally then when they went back in they were rotated they would not be align properly. For the cost of a set of rings im amazed they didnt replace them given its not huge money.
  13. 1L over 1000 miles is about the point where a serious issue is there. If its been recently built and its using alot of oil i would suggest either the rings havn't bedded in properly, hasn't been built right or something internal has failed.
  14. I don't mind having a read. My car is pretty heavily modded from stock, although done by a specialist including full custom block up rebuild so its long term stuff rather than DIY over the weekend. More info here,
  15. I don't mind reading it, but i would have thought it would be better to go to a specialist who has alot more experience with multiple cars. One thing about subaru's is different cars react differently to the same mods
  16. I'm kinda confused by this, has the article already been written?
  17. hmmm, i wonder if andy is aware of that? or it could well be BS
  18. To play devils advocate, lets say a ECU is left unlocked and a mapper comes to tweak it and decides to copy the map and use it on other cars? either as a base map or just a flash map? I can see arguments both ways tbh, its one of those types of discussion that rumbles on.
  19. most mappers lock the ecu. Who owns the map is an ongoing discussion, does the mapper who's work it is, or is it yours who commissioned the work? So they tend to be locked and if you want to go elsewhere they have to start from scratch.

Pagid front pads are under £40 at eurocarparts, Brembo £42
  22. Seems to be to win a rally championship you need skill, a decent car and a huge amount of luck. Time will tell if he has the latter
