By the look's of it we still have some hope These leaked images reportedly show the new Subaru WRX STI, which will make its global debut at the Detroit motor show next week. The model is scheduled to go on sale in North America and key global markets for Subaru in 2015. It will become Subaru's flagship performance car for the US, and is based on the new WRX saloon which was revealed at the LA motor show in November last year. Subaru UK is yet to commit to taking the new WRX in either standard or STI flavour. However, Autocar understands that Subaru's UK importer will bring the STI version only to the UK if it can be sold here for less than £30,000. It is currently in talks with Subaru headuqarters in Japan about making this happen. Subaru has declared the standard WRX as the "the best-handling WRX ever". It is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged boxer engine, the same unit used in the new Subaru Forester, which produces 264bhp. It is unknown what performance changes Subaru will make to this engine for the STI version, but at least 300bhp is expected for the all-wheel-drive saloon. A new, more aggressive bodywork package is expected for the STI, alongside sports suspension and braking systems. Still, Subarus have never been about outright beauty, so it’s what lies beneath that is most important. Gone is the old 2.5-litre flat-four turbo engine, replaced by a 2-litre unit with the same configuration. It possesses 264bhp and 258lb ft of torque, and drives all four wheels through a standard six-speed manual gearbox or an optional CVT Lineartronic transmission. The latter may appeal in auto-friendly markets such as the US, but surely most drivers committed enough to buy a WRX will also be unwavering stick-shift fans. Expect a 0-60 time of around 5.0sec and a top speed north of 150mph. Figures seem too low for me i'd be thinking the 0-60 would be a lot lower and the BHP be higher myself but I guess it's still all speculation at the min.

The only thing I really don't like about it, and not sure why is that shark fin. They belong on BMW's :D but I'm sure I could live with it. ;)

As you said when I had them there it covered up what felt like most of the cluster to me and never felt easy to look at it was like I had to bob my head down a little bit but I had put them on myself and was closer inwards than they sit. But I didn't like them so now I have 2 holes on my steering wheel cover. and moved them back to the pillar. But I do like the design. And would agree they with what you say even though it's from america they should be designed for the driver to see so would think you would have a problem buying them and fitting them.

I would say the engine swap would be the easiest way than building your's into a turbo engine at least it was built to take the turbo that's how I look at it anyway. I think the EJ20 would fit but wiring loom would need changing too I believe, but don't hold me to that someone might know better than me. and be able to give better advice than me :)

Have you checked you coolant fluids checked for airlocks. ? I would change the fluid too just incase, can you hear the fans come onto. Sorry just read the other posts :D the needle on mine sit's below half only ever seen it go over half way once when I was on a track day.

I had mine almost in the same place didn't like them there always seemed in the way to me and wasn't that easy to see. But the pod does look better designed than being drilled and screwed on. And I set the CarPC up with the OBDII reader works pretty well but doesn't give boost or oil temp/pressure. So gauges would still be needed :(

Had no problem with Hankook tyres I'd recommend them from when I have used them in the past.

I agree with both does look like the Evo but I do like it better than the WRX by miles. Still a shame they didn't go more the the prototype look but think it looks nice.

Sounds like a good plan to me I like Yokohamas. I've just started to use Falkens for the 1st time seem a bit noisy but very impressed with them at the minute wet or dry.

That's harsh :( I have had a Copper admire my car had a look around it but was looking at the car didn't look at the tyres or anything was stood talking to me for a bit about car's then showed me on his computer he had been doing 132mph down the A16 Some of them are alright just when you get the jobsworths Like this young copper on a power trip. I went to a cash point to get some cash out whilst I was stood there this woman was sat on the floor screaming help up the road reaching out towards passing car's. So when I got back in my car I was driving past thought I would stick my head out the window and ask if she was ok it was around this time of year. I nearly never stopped but thought she really might need help, anyway cut a long story short. I got out the car to help pick her up and she hobbled over to my car, I thought just to lean on she had hurt her ankle but just climbed straight in and got in the passenger seat. Turn's out she had come over here from Canada to meet a guy in Leeds I still not sure how she managed to end up in Grimsby and a **** hole area but was drunk cold and wet with a bit of blood on her face. So now I'm stood there with this Canadian woman in the car not knowing what to do I said she had to get out but was not moving told me just to get in and drive, she was not ugly to be fair. So I thought I will take her to the Hospital with being hurt but she said no to that so I said I would take her to the police station she didn't want to go there either but I was going there anyway, by this point she was rubbing my leg -_- and started to try take her wet top off (I kid you not) Pulled up outside the police station she started screaming saying she had left her purse with her passport on the floor so I knew she needed that so shot back to where I first found her no sign's of it. I'm panicking now as I was only going to the shop I knew my missus would be wondering where I was. So went round to the police station again. Pulled up she started screaming and shouting when I told her wouldn't get out the car, so I went in to tell the receptionist that I have an unknown woman in my car from Canada refusing to get out my car while the hole time she's honking my horn. So these two coppers come down after about ten minutes an older one and a young one the older one was fine told him exactly what had gone on. then with that the young guy started going on at me asking why was I picking her up almost accusing me of kidnap or something making out like I should be arrested, so I started to get a bit mad with the young copper think the older one new basically told him to wind his neck in. took them about 15 minutes to get her out my car and to this day I still never knew what happened to her. But anyway went a bit off topic there in true S.O.C style :D If you have to keep putting a cat on for the MOT and the police are pulling you over and checking I'd go with a cat. Even though I love the sound of them without it setting off car alarms as I drive past
