Do you have a blockage in one of the other breathers that has been disconnected when removing the RCM item? Are all the tubes arranged so oil will flow back down them - ie none drop below the point at which they connect to the engine allowing oil to build up then be blown into the catch tank instead of going back into the engine?

That AUX panel should replace the blanking plate with no cutting or modifications of any kind

It is a US listing so the audio spec is possibly different. The UK subaru dealer should know though.

I have an Aux input in my RX impreza - I believe it was installed as part of an overall stereo upgrade package as there is also a 10 disc player in the car. yup my 08 RX has issues holding the position I place it in - £60 seems excessive for a piece of plastic - I was debating wrapping some tape around the bar to increase friction. Do you have to buy the whole sun visor flap just to get the retainer cam?

Right today i fitted my front mount I took some pics as i went on as nobody had any pics for refrence to show me so i thought if i can help somebody out it only takes afew seconds step by step so here they are Start Bumper and grill removed Crash bar thing removed New intercooler mount in its place This is smaller than the old bar so i filled the large holes with polostyrine removed off the bumper These 3 tabs need to be cut off (paint all exposed metal after even though itll be rusty already Mount intercooler Remove radiator overflow bottle Remove standard intercooler and save the bolts to mount new intercooler bottom brackets with also strut brace needs removing to get tmic off Replace with new slimline one also bottom mounting point for old bottle needs cutting off to fit intercooler piping i had to cut the mounting tab and re drill hole Fit pipes il add afew pics for refrence The standard flanged dump valve wont fit onto this kit so il be fetching a normal dump valve tomorrow and il add pics as this really stumped me for a while Next was trimming the bumper this takes 2 hours easily to do correctly once again il add pics for reference Put fog covers back on and grill I raised my reg plate 2" purely for looks lol Job done apart for dump valve tomorrow so il post when done. Im in no way a mechanic nor am i saying this is how it should be done im just sharing how i found the install

looks good but as with the WRX / Impreza concept they build them oversized so mirrors aside we will probably end up with a diluted version that wont have the same presence, wheels and tyres being one of the things that seem to suffer first, will be interested to see what does actually end up with the dealers

That is a great motor and very reasonably priced in today's market - just hope it doesn't get snapped up by a breaker

If you are just doing it up by replacing bits one for one it is quite straight forward, hoses, engine dress up kits even replacing rusty bolts for shiny ones is fine just take your time and it will be no issue

The ESL course is excellent, very good foundation for tuning approaches / practices

Having looked at the Cobb accessport myself (As I may well be using this kit for my own business venture) you can buy the device and then flash load a map done by someone else, you cannot start tweaking the map itself unless you have the appropriate software, to get this you have to be approved etc This brings us back to the original point of "why should I not plug a map from someone else's motor into my motor" - you can, but it carries risk with it. Allegedly there are places around that will do a £30 flash map for your motor which unless you are going to a tuner with appropriate software to tweak the generic map once loaded via the Cobb product and has the kit to ensure your motor is fuelling correctly and not melting its pistons that is what you are getting. If you get the ODB2 / USB lead for your laptop you can download some OS software and do the flash yourself. If you do want to go this route I would recommend you invest in some det headphones and a wideband sensor at the very least.

The bay will probably clean up alright, bit of paint on the belt cover and autosolv on the header tank, mind you its a slippery slope then as more and more little things will stand out
