  1. It's still the same old 2.5 so I would avoid pushing it too far
  2. Welcome back. Any pics?
  3. Thicker rear are will cure some of the understeer they suffer from. Just watch out for the tail end going out ;)
  4. Will be fine to leave it off. If nit try scoobyclinic at Chesterfield. They normaly have a couple of breakers in.
  5. Also try scoobyclinic at Chesterfield. Where ever you go may sure they check the pulleys and prob find it needs a tensioner (check the price cos alot of places don't include it so cheap price ends up alot higher. Should he warned when you get a quote anyway)
  6. Clinic got a pro drover to test the new one and biggest issue he fed back was brakes. He littleraly fried them in two laps. Change out the front set up for a decent 6 pot caliper setup (stay clear of ksport) and you'll find a big difference. Rear ones can stay as is, most of the braking on a subaru is front end

    BTCC

See the engine is as reliable as the normal 2.5 hahaha
  8. Sound like need to plug in to find out what's going on.
  9. Don't bother. Get yours rebuilt. Second hand engines are just that. No way to prove the history or how good it is. My Type R ran fine when I bought it. 6 months later crank bearings failed. You can never tell what's going on unless it's rebuilt from the crank up.

    How much?!?

i suspect its the price for all the cars in the picture,,,,,, haha
  11. My advice, take it somewhere that knows what there doing
  12. oil is hotly debated so shall leave that be, as far as filter, genuin subaru one everytime even on high power builds
  13. total rubbish mate, only people who say that don't have a clue about correct setup. Usual drivel I hear is people saying they keep the oil too cool. when the reality is they bought a cheap kit that didn't come with thermostatic control. aka a sandwich plate only diverts oil too the cooler when the temp goes over a certain temp..
  14. tbh more sounds like it may need an oil cooler.
  15. ask ten people and you'll get 10 different answers, personaly wouldn't let duncan map my toaster let alone my subaru. Who ever you use make sure they have proper insurance, if its road mapped and your driving it your own insurance does not cover you
  16. welcome :) Local to me :)
  17. Standard turbo is unlikley to make 300, so unless you wanna spend quite a bit that will be your limiting factor
  18. Be difficult to find one thats in decent condition given the age. can you get it rebuilt instead?
  19. philistines hahaha
  20. 1999 will have 440 injectors as standard. not worth swapping to 450's, if you wanna change em then need to go to 550's o also recomend changing the spark plugs for 7's and also the fuel pump
  21. duck me thats a big !Removed!,,,,, hahahaha
  22. you guys on ps4 or xbox? anyone else playing pc?
  23. Without out the turbo, imprezas are pretty dam bullet proof. Suffer from typical bodywork issues like rear arches, but with the lower power they run and run and run. Decent service history and check they havnt been crashed, but beyond that there a very goo car. Only downside to em is they arn't great on fuel even none turbo.
  24. O hang on scratch that, that was the SL hawk wrx
